Great news!
The Tower of David Jerusalem Museum https://www.tod.org.il/en/ which tells the story of Jerusalem’s history from the biblical era until the modern day, reopened on June 1st following an ambitious 3-year, $50 million programme of restoration.
Funds were raised mostly by the Clore Israel Foundation, to help bring the museum into the modern age. Utilizing the best of technology, alongside original authentic artifacts dating back thousands of years, you can relive the history of Jerusalem in a new and engaging way.
The new museum covers 4,000 years of history in just 1,000 meters of space and approx 1.5 hours.
Originally, visitors to the Tower of David Museum needed to go through the Old City before entering the museum by the Jaffa Gate. However, the renovations included the construction of a new entrance, so visitors are able enter the museum without needing to go through the Old City.
I am particularly knowledgeable about accessibility for wheelchair users in the Jerusalem area and would be delighted to help plan your visit.
